ABSTRACT
Esse relato apresenta o caso de uma paciente com quarta recidiva de sinoviosarcoma, um sarcoma de partes moles que possui estreita relação com bainhas tendinosas, bursas e cápsulas articulares. A paciente apresentou uma quarta recidiva, sendo necessária a realização da amputação de perna, visto que as cirurgias conservadoras já não aliviam o sofrimento da paciente. O principal objetivo deste relato de caso é apresentar um caso clássico de neoplasia rara, expondo a doença e fazer uma breve revisão da literatura e mostrar sua importância, visto que corresponde a apenas 5% das neoplasias de partes moles.
This report presents the case of a female patient with fourth synoviosarcoma recurrence, a sarcoma of soft parts that have close relationship with tendom sheaths, bursas and articular capsule.The patient present her fourth recurrence, in wich the perfomance of amputation was required, since the conservative surgeriesno longer relieved the patient suffering. The main objective of this case report is to present a classic case of a rare cancer, exposing the disease, and to make a brief review of the literature to show its importance, since it corresponds to only five percent of the cancers of soft parts.

Objetivo: Descrever os acidentes de transporte terrestre, em especial os atropelamentos, segundo idade das vítimas, ocorridos no Distrito Federal (DF) no período de 1995 a 2005. Método: Corresponde a um estudo epidemiológico descritivo, com uso de dados secundários. Informações a respeito do número de vítimas e de mortes devido a acidentes de transporte terrestre no DF foram obtidas do DETRANDF para os anos de 1995 a 2005. Tais informações foram estratificadas segundo idade das vítimas. Coeficientes de mortalidade e de letalidade foram calculados. Objective: To describe trends and the age distribution of traffic accidents, in special, pedestrian run-overs, occurring in the Brazilian Federal District over the period of 1995 to 2005. Methods: This is an epidemiological descriptive study, based on secondarydata. Numbers of traffic accident victims, deaths and run-overs reported between 1995 and 2005 in the Brazilian Federal District were collected from the DF-Traffic Department and analyzed. The data was stratifiedby the victims age. Fatality and mortality rates were calculated. Conclusions: Although decreased trends are noticed for the death rates due to pedestrian run-over, this avoidable cause of deaths is still frequentand present at a non-random age distribution, being the elderly the highest risk group.
